Robert Mansfield, Cartel Candidate

Robert Mansfield is one of the Developer Cartel’s selections to become County Commissioner of Queen Anne’s County.   It is difficult to comprehend just exactly what qualities and qualifications the Cartel saw in Mr. Mansfield as their selection.

Robert B. Mansfield, born June 4, 1964 has no less than twenty six separate cases attributed to him in Maryland Court records.  Six of these cases are for passing bad checks, two for non-support, one for theft, and one for domestic violence.

For today, one charge is of particular interest.  Mr. Mansfield was charged and convicted in a Talbot County courtroom of making a false statement to a police officer (click here).  The judge did not fine him for this infraction but instead saw fit to order Mansfield to serve fourteen days in jail.

Lest this incident be interpreted as a youthful indiscretion, it should be noted that Mr. Mansfield was thirty four at the time of his incarceration for this crime.

Perhaps the Developer Cartel saw this episode in Mr. Mansfield’s life as an asset as opposed to a liability. The advertisements written and paid for by the Cartel are most often gross distortions of reality as well as outright lies.  Conceivably, he will be of great use in this area.

The Citizens’ candidate, David Dunmeyer, is Mr. Mansfield’s opposition in the upcoming Republican primary race for Queen Anne’s County Commissioner.  A Maryland judiciary case search on Mr. Dunmeyer resulted in absolutely no records being found.  The difference between the two candidates is night and day.

There is more to come on Mr. Mansfield.

  1. I for one would be very interested in seeing all of these 26 cases and what was entailed in them; especially the one mentioned above. How often have we ourselves been pulled over and told the officer "I had no idea I was going that fast" or "I thought the speed limit was higher than that - guess I didn't see the sign"? My question is this....we (at least I and no one I know personally) have been brought up on charges of giving a police officer a false statement. So I would like to know what led up to Mr. Mansfield being charged and was it his extensive record of court appearances that gave the judge pause in this case that made him choose to incarcerate rather than fine Mr. Manfield. Perhaps he saw this as a cry for help from Mr. Mansfield and wanted to give him time to cool down. I would also be curious to know if he has a history of anger issues.

Thank-you for uncovering this truth and sharing it with the fine citizens of QAC. We need to know who WE are CHOOSING to represent us and run our county.

  2. In reagards to Mr. Dunmyer, I am so thrilled that there are no records of any conflicts with the law. I have a deep appreciation and respect for our laws and government. To find a candidate who has no hidden agenda, no skeletons in his closet and shares that same respect is rare. I consider us VERY lucky that Mr Dunmyer has agreed to take on the position of County Commissoner and battle the evil that is rearing its ugly head here. I feel that he will not try to take shortcuts or bypass the law all together as Mr. Mansfield has done. Dave Dunmyer has given nothing but honest, straight-forward answers to the difficult questions. Honest......perhaps that is why the cartel does not want to see him in office.

  3. Kevin Waterman, one of the spokes of the developer cartel wheel describes Mr. Mansfield as "a rare political candidate - one who's willing to stand behind real policies and not just empty platitudes."

Apparently he stands behind a lot more than that! Oh and don't forget, Mr. Mansfield's single largest contributor is none other than (surprise) Planning Commission member Barry Waterman. Another candidate in the pocket of the developers!

  4. Love to see that my brother Robert has the REAL friends of QAC so scared he will be elected, that they will stoop to any measure to get there candidate elected. The so called "Domestic Abuse" was dismissed by the Court, because it never happened. When candidates have to rely on spreading false accusations, instead of their own strengths, it means they know they can't win on those strengths. My brother is a good man and everyone who supports him can see that. He will win both the Primary and General Election, and when he does the County will be better for it.

  5. Tom, so he was never convicted and sent to jail for lying to the police? I admire you for sticking up for your brother, but how can we know that he would be honest with us? He is a convicted liar!

  6. Let's see. Dunmeyer or your brother? Your brother has had a half dozen bad check charges against him. Maybe that's the Developer Cartel's solution to the county's financial dilemma. Dave Dunmeyer gets my vote. Glad this is coming out. I wonder what's next?

  7. The fact that Tom has to defend his brother is all I need to see. Why the need to defend at all? If there was nothing wrong, there'd by no need to defend. I'd say, Mr. Mansfield accepted one of Boss Waterman's "candidate financial assistance packages".

  8. Mr. Mansfield deserves an opportunity to comment on these facts. But I suspect his handlers at Business Queen Anne's and or Mr. Mareen Waterman will put a muzzle on him. How can Mr. Waterman and the BQA organization support/ endorse him? That question has already been presented to BQA, and as far as I know there is still no reply from them.

  9. Perhaps Mr. Mansfield has realized that this was just a bad idea but is being FORCED by the cartel to ride it out until after the primary when they will drop him like a hot potatoe and back their REAL candidate. Poor Mr. Mansfield.
